Bea was a true example to all who knew her of the way to live a Christian life, rooted in peace and justice along with thoughtful stewardship of time, talent, and treasure. My most lasting association with Bea was through the United Society of Friends Women International, where she served Quakers around the world, mainly as a wordsmith during her tenure as Editor of our bimonthly publication, THE [FRIENDS' MISSIONARY] ADVOCATE, and earlier as the Program Editor for our annual study guide with monthly lessons, BLUEPRINTS. In her retirement years in Richmond, Indiana, Bea was a regular user of the Friends Collection and Archives at Earlham College, researching the history and personages of the missionary efforts of members of the Religious Society of Friends through the years. Thank you, Bea, for your quiet but valuable contributions to the legacy of Quakers everywhere.

Bea was such a wonderful woman! I treasure the memories I have of her (and Herb) from my teenage years. She was the high school kids' Sunday School teacher and was so enthusiastic and always had a smile to share! I still have and use the Bible that she gave me then!
When I got married, she sent a pretty picture. Her loving kindness and dedication to the Farmington Friends Meeting will surely be missed!
Please accept my deepest condolences.
Betsy (Everdyke) Lee
