So long Jerry,
I enjoyed working with and for you those many years at Brockport. You taught me more than any class I ever took. I have many fond memories and I know you will be missed by many. I like to think we left the College at Brockport better than we found it.

Jerry had a calming presence that was very reassuring to everyone on campus, regardless of the particular crisis of the day. We are very grateful for the leading role he took in the renovation and re-opening of Dailey Hall as a technology center in the early 1990's. He empowered us to work collaboratively with principles of total quality in everything he did. Brockport is a much better place because of Jerry. He will be missed.

Dear Rosemary and family,
I just learned of Jerry's passing from Bud Meade's emeriti newsletter and am grateful for that source of connection to SUNY folks. My deepest sympathy to you all; I remember Jerry fondly from Brockport at Facilities and from emeriti gatherings at the president's house. He was just such a nice guy, with a delightful sense of humor.
My thoughts are with you as you go through this difficult time.
All the best,
Margay Blackman

From 2011 to 2015. His service was marked by exemplary leadership, extraordinary vision, commitment, and patriotism. “Jerry” was also a devoted husband to Rosemary, a proud father, and a class act. He will be missed and long remembered. Fair wind, and following seas. Bravo Zulu for a life well-lived.
