I knew Arlen when were we both teenagers living near each other. I knew then he would become a great Doctor. In the 1980's he operated on both of my elbows. I knew him as a friend, and great Doctor. He showed his love of God in his daily actions. He will be remembered for his goodness in all aspects of his life. As I now live in VA, I haven't seen him in years, but know he will be missed by his family and friends. Be at peace knowing that he is with his friend, Jesus.

Words can not express how much Dr Snyder will be missed. I worked at the Orthopaedic office for him and appreciate all the ways he cared for his patients no matter how big or small the problems they had. He always had a smile for them and time to spend with them. God Bless you Dr Snyder. You will be missed. I know you are an angel in heaven looking down on all of us ready to guide us down the right road. Rest in Peace.

We have been Arlen's neighbors since the fall of 1984. We moved in shortly before Thanksgiving of that year. At that time, we did not know him. He showed up at our door with a wheelbarrow load of firewood on Thanksgiving Eve saying that we probably hadn't time to obtain any yet and how a fire in the fireplace on Thanksgiving was warming in so many ways. I just noticed how many times that I used the word thanksgiving. I guess that word sums up the Arlen we knew. He was thankful to God for what he had and he gave back so much to all of us - his talents, treasure and time. He will be sorely missed by all.

Twenty-five years of working at Thompson, most in the OR, leaves me with many memories of Arlen. The first ortho case I scrubbed by myself was with Arlen, so I made sure the last case I scrubbed on when I retired was also with Arlen.
He was the consumate professional and a dear friend. He will be sorely missed. Thanks for the memories...

I wanted to share a memory...Dr. Snyder's sense of humor...
One of my funniest moments that I shared with Dr.Snyder was when he came into the exam room with a spine needle for my elbow ... we laughed so hard after I knew he wasn't really going to use it...
You will be missed
