Dear Doris's Family, Gonna miss knowing where the next chicken BBQ is,a few summers ago it was race to find where they were between her and I.Doris WON so from then on I let her tell Donna and she let me know.If you find scallions up to the cemetery growing I planted them. I grew them in my garden and Doris got her shipment of them.If I wanted to know what was going on in the area I would ask Donna and she would get a hold of "mom she knew" she had the scanner.I always knew where Tommy was when he wasn't home he was in good hands with "grandma".I will always remember your mom(grandma) in her chair looking to see who was coming in with a smile on her face, ready for conversation and a laugh.

Donna, Danny, David, Darlene, Sandy and Sharon and the family: For the past 43 years, we have been neighbors with Doris
Not only were we neighbors, but close friends. Good neighbors are hard to find, but even harder to keep.. And we kept each other! We watched each other grow through the years. Doris loved to cook and always had something cooking on the stove when we were growing up. Doris always made us feel at home and disciplined us like we were one of hers. Sharp as a tack she was, never missed a trick! Doing bookwork for their business was a constant for Doris and bowling was an escape for a few hours a week from us all. Doris, Mom and Dad, had a special bond which enhanced after all the kids had left both houses. My mother, Mary, had a very special bond with Doris. Mom was always taking her over little goodies.. cookies, breads, pies.. which Doris loved to hide from the grandkids so she could have some. But most of all, Mom and Doris had girl time. It will greatly be missed! If Doris had seen my Mom or Dad go out to the mailbox and the mail hadnt come yet, she would call them up to say it was here. They were always looking out for each other. To this day, my Father, Bill, still talks about everyone running around the outside of the house when your Mom and Dad were making fresh horseradish. As the years passed, I moved away, but always thought of Doris.. whether it was with a visit, a card or some baked goods. Doris was surely a Wonderful Person! The time I spent visiting with your Mom will surely be remembered. Doris will be missed by our family. Doriss bond with each one of us was very special. Just know that your Mom is at peace and watching over you all now. Doris is with Arly now, together, watching you ALL grow. You lost your Mother, but we all lost a great neighbor, a friend and Your Mom.
