Obituary of Shirley Whalen
SHIRLEY MAE WHALEN
CANANDAIGUA: Shirley Whalen, 78, of Saltonstall Street died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the Homestead in Penn Yan.
Shirley was born in Irondequoit, NY and retired in 1989 after seventeed years as a bus driver with the Pittsford School System. Following her retirement, she had been a crossing guard for the Canandaigua Schools.
The widow of Edward Whalen, she is survived by her son Carl E. Whalen and his companion Theresa Estee of Canandaigua; her daughter Kathy Spencer of Palmyra and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua, Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. where funeral services will follow visitation at 1:00 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Lima.
