Ralph Frasca Jr., 81, lifelong resident of Chapel St. passed away March 24, 2011 after a long illness.
Born to Ralph and Lucy Frasca, Ralph served with the U.S. Army. After his enlistment he worked in construction and began selling potatoes as a second means of income. Ralph's potato business grew rapidly, becoming a wholesale canned food distributor; he formed a 35 year partnership with his son. Together they were known as Canandaigua Specialty Company.
After his retirement Ralph would spend much of his time with his best friends, Pat and Joe Krossber, at their businesses. He was also well known at the VA Medical Center, and Ralph had a love for all animals.
Ralph is survived by his children, who he loved deeply, Jean (Terry) Hosler, Cheryl Frasca-Moran, Dale (Robyn) Frasca; grandchildren, LT, Christopher Hosler, Carolyn (Brad) Schurr, Mary, Jamie, Kristen Moran, Samantha Joslyn, and one great grandchild, Ryan Schurr. He is also survived by brothers, Louie, Michael and Robert Frasca, and a sister Laura Simack.
Friends may call, Monday, March 28, from 2-4 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 10:00 am funeral service will be held Tuesday March 29 at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Canandaiguas Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family suggests donations in Ralphs memory be made to, Happy Tails, Ontario County Humane Society, 2976 County Road 48 Canandaigua, NY 14424.
