Obituary of Anna Furfure

Anna M. Furfure Canandaigua, NY Anna M. Furfure, 89, passed away February 12, 2011 at F.F. Thompson Hospital. A lifelong resident of Canandaigua and a member of St. Mary’s Church, Anna graduated from St. Mary’s School and Canandaigua Academy. She retired from Alleson Athletic where she was employed as a seamstress. In her retirement, Anna enjoyed playing bingo with fellow residents at Wilcox Lane and De Paul Horizons. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Samuel and Mary Furfure; sister, Rose Grosso; and brothers, Domenic and Frank Furfure. Anna is survived by her brother Joseph F. (Dorothy) Furfure Sr.; nieces, nephews and their families, Barbara (John) Dixon of Farmington, May (Ronald) Krakowiak of South Hadley, MA, Joseph (Eva) Furfure of Mendon, and Francis (Rich) Furfure of Ohio. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at De Paul Horizons where Anna had resided since May 2006. Special thanks also to the doctors, nurses, aids and clergy at F.F. Thompson Hospital for their guidance and compassion. There will be no calling hours. Anna’s funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday February 18 at 11 am at St. Mary’s Church, 95 N. Main St. Canandaigua. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Service arrangements have been entrusted to Fuller Funeral Home Inc. Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
