Obituary of Martin Smith

Martin T. Smith Loving father & grandfather Zephyrhills Fl. / Canandaigua NY. Martin Smith, 86, of Zephyrhills Fl. passed away January 2, 2011 at FF Thompson Hospital. Martin was a longtime resident of Canandaigua, and served with the U.S. Army Air Corp in World War II. He retired from the Rochester Button Company in 1986 after 25 years of service. An avid golfer, Martin also enjoyed archery, bowling and skiing at Bristol Mountain. He is survived by his children; Randall Smith, Candice (Gordon) Sutherland, Sandra (Willie) Simmons, sister; Betty Allen, brother; Milford Smith Jr., and grandchildren; Kevin Wade, Timothy Smith, Thomas Smith, Jake Sutherland, Julia Sutherland, Carly Simmons, Shawn Simmons, three great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. Also an long time friend Michele McCallum. He was predeceased by his wife; Eva R. Smith, son; Scott Smith, and sister, Arlene Morrow. In Accordance with Martins wishes there will be no services. Interment will be in White Haven Memorial park. A contribution in Martins name can be made to Happy Tails Animal Shelter, Humane Society of Ontario County, 2976 County Rd. 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
