Obituary of Jill Winter

JILL WINTER CANANDAIGUA: Jill Winter, 35, died at her Gibson Street Home, Thursday, Oct. 28,2010 with her family at her side. Jill was born in Hamilton, NY on December 14, 1974. She was a graduate of Waterville High School (1993) and a 1997 graduate of R.I.T. receiving a degree in Criminal Justice. She had been a Social Worker with Ontario County Child Protective Services for over ten years. Jill attended St. Mary's Church and loved gardening, music and enjoying the beach and the sun with her family. She is survived by her husband John "JD" Winter and her daughter Allison Jean Winter of Canandaigua; her parents John "Tony" and Jean McFarland Heidel of Waterville, NY; her sister Antonia (Liam) Heidel Scahill of East Rochester; her mother-in-law and father-in-law Fred and Lucia Winter of Canandaigua; her sister-in-law Toni (Steve) Battaglia of Farmington; her niece Ava and her nephew Anthony. Friends may call at the Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua, Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Jill's funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, North Main St., Canandaigua, Monday at 1:00 p.m. with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family has suggested that memorials be directed to Sands Cancer Center, Pancreatic Cancer Research, 350 Parrish St., Canandaigua, NY 14424 or to the Ontario County Humane Society,29776 County Road 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
