I didn't know Rita lived in Canandaigua. I use to work with Rita at Friden on Humboldt St when I lived in Rochester 35 years ago. She was Bill Baker's personal secretary, and an excellent and loyal one at that. I had a great respect for her since our department, Purchasing, reported to Bill Baker. Rita had an enormous responsibility, and handled it very well. She & I talked about her attending Gap's nomination for a Grammy in NYC. I encouraged her to ask for the time off since it was a once in a life time thrill. I believe she did ask for the time off and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, Friden closed their doors, and I lost contact with this very nice lady. I'm sure that she has an equally nice family.

Gerry,
I am sorry about your Mom...I know it was difficult for her these last years. I am sure that, at some spiritual level, she appreciated your care-taking and visits.
I knew it was your mother just by looking at the picture in the paper because you look so much like her...
Take care,
Gretchen
