Sharon, Missy and Tyler, I am so sorry for your loss. I am comforted to know you did have time to say your goodbyes and to re-live the good times. I remember watching NFL and NBA games with Terry as we eagerly awaited the Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts. And I remember years later, when I was a sports writer and sneaked Terry into a Buffalo Bills game as an alleged sports writer. He loved watching from the comforts of the press box and he was thrilled to go down to the locker room afterward to meet some heroes in person. He was the proverbial kid in the candy store, and it was a neat moment to share -- even if my efforts to convince him there was no cheering in the press box were futile! May you remember the good times and lessons learned, and take comfort from family and friends. Our best, Steve, Julie, Katie and Zack

Dad, Words cannot express the loss I feel, the way my heart hurts. You were there for me for everything! You were a source of strength for our family, for me.. the last two years 24/7! I know you know how grateful I am. I told you Tuesday night and I know you were listening to me. I can feel you here....especially at night. I dont know what it will be like when we go into the Civic Center soon. I will be looking for you everywhere and though I wont see you...we will feel you! The boys have you locked up in there heart....you occupy the whole space! We were sitting on your porch last night with Mom and we heard you bowling in heaven...the boys kept saying "OOOO he got a strike"!!! They say "I miss Pop" many times a day...a hundred times a day! They will miss building forts, going to open skate...hockey quizes during the drive to games, practices! Laying on you in the recliner watching the Sabres! Watch over us Dad....and those boys forever!!! You were the most special to them and they are so loving because of your love and what you taught them. I have become a better person for all of this!! Remember what I told you..."this is no big deal...because we will see you again"!!! We love you to the Moon and back!! Missy, Jay and Carter!

Hayes Family, My condolences go out to you all during this difficult time. I had a lot of respect for Terry and always will. I considered him a good friend. I will never forget the long conversations had with him about whats going on in the hockey world. In a hurry Tyler and I could possibly be in to get out the back door, I never hoped for the conversations to end. Ironically, the last conversation I had with him been about who is going to win the Stanley Cup. As always, he was right. He will be missed always. Ryan Woodworth

Daddy, I love you and will miss you with all of my heart and soul. I will make you proud and never let you down. You have helped me grow into a man, and you prepared me to carry on your legacy. I don't know another 25 year old man that would still kiss his father before bed and tell him "I Love You Daddy." You were My Rock, My Brother, My Best Friend, My Father and My Hero...all wrapped into one big cuddly Teddy Bear! I want to "THANK YOU" for EVERYTHING. We will all be okay Daddy, I will take care of Mom, Missy and the Boys. Our family will all become closer than it already is, because of you. Like John Lennon said, "All You Need Is Love," and this family has more LOVE than anyone will ever know! You no longer have to suffer and be in pain, so you may now rest in peace Daddy. All I ask is that you just watch over me. I can feel you here now, you will never be forgotten. Goodbye Daddy, I Love You sooooo much!

I am so sorry for the loss of Terry for his immediate family and also for our community. What a fine guy he was and a loving person. He always had time for people and that radiant smile I will cherish forever. His love of people and his love of kids can never be forgotten. His kindness is something that is so transferable to others. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to know this man and share in his delight of hockey and kids! I can vividly remember him in the winter of 2006 - 07 bringing his Grandsons to skate on our backyard rink. He had great delight in helping them and I am not sure who had more fun, the kids or Terry. My sincere condolences to Sharon, Tyler, Melissa, Jarrett, Carter, and all of the familiy. Please let me know if and when the funeral will be. I am sorry. Jim Armstrong
