Patty, Steve, and Tim, and all Mike's nieces and nephews.... My heart goes out to you, losing your brother so suddenly. I just heard about your loss from Ron P., and he said that a huge portion of Mike's class came to say goodbye .... I hope that gave you some comfort, knowing how many people are feeling his loss too. Keep him in your heart, and remember his music and his poetry - he'll always be with you.

I was saddened by the news of Mike's passing. I have known Mike for about 30 years. To his brother's and sister it must be hard to lose a brother that was his own man but kind and gentle. I was always glad to see Mike and he was always glad to see mke and we would remember the old days. By the way we all had a lot of fun back in the old days. My deepest sympathy. Mike and I went downstate after the floods in Corning. Mike got the nickname "Rock" as we learned about working in a labor gang.We also learned working in 95 heat and high humidity. There were file cabinets that had been in a flood. Oh-my! We learned what a machine operator could do and how this means up and this means down. Mike showed great courage and strength in the face of hardness. He had a wee-bit of a temper and always felt there was an everlasting glory above the clouds. If Mike is slightly bent as he approaches the Great Golden Gates he will look back to see if we all can walk on, he will smile and straighten. As we watch Mike go on alone the gate closes we cannot see him but he is with us still. He will always be there to walk with us and I with him.

The last time I saw Mike he was at the Potter Onion fest in early fall. As always, he came over to say hi, ask how things were going with me and inquire about mutual friends he hadn't seen in awhile. He was doing one of the things that he enjoyed most in life that day-performing his music and doing it well. Heaven has gained another soul that will be missed by all of us left behind that knew him...

Mike had a 30's Buick or Pontiac and several of us would be just riding around with him. It had broken springs so it would rock back and forth when he stopped. We were at Kershaw and Mike gave it gas and then the brake so he really got it rocking ,while he was saying "Rock On Rock'Rock On Rock" clear across the parking lot. Those early days until the last time I saw him ,Mike was always the same,a true friend ,good sense of humor, always something he was involved in and meaningful conversation. I Will Miss You My Friend,Bob

It is June. Time has passed, and more have come and gone. That is the circle of life. And as I have just now stumbled across this website I sit here with a knot in my throat and loving tears to thank all of you for your kind, loving sentiments of our brother, Mike. We do miss him. As time ticks on I pray it will touch our hearts to know that while we still mourn the loss of Mike, we also celebrate the gifts we never would have known if we hadn't known such a great person! God Bless you all! Patty
