Obituary of Arnold Stranz
Arnold Pappy Stranz
Dade City, FL
Arnold W. Stranz, 77, of Schutt Rd. passed away March 11, 2010 at Pasco Regional Medical Center in Dade City, Florida.
Born in Rochester, NY, Arnold served with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. His entrepreneurial spirit lead him to such careers as salesmen, butcher, owner/operator of service stations and restaurateur. His most memorable endeavors included Mobil and Amoco service stations, the Campus Cave, Starlighter and Pappys Place. He served as President of the Rochester Gasoline Dealers Association and was an avid rock-n-roll drummer.
Arnold is survived by his long time companion Marjorie Boheen, son; James (Sarah) Stranz of Penfield, daughters; Kathleen (Todd) Secrist of Ohio, Lynda (Tim) Mitch of Clifton Springs and grandchildren; Jason, Justin, Matthew, Melissa, Natalie and Samantha.
He was predeceased by his parents Axel and Louise (Lindemann) Stranz, and his younger brother Herbert who passed in 1955.
Friends may call Friday March 19 from 5-7 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Farmington Friends Cemetery at a later date.
