Obituary of Shirley Horosko

Shirley J. Horosko Canandaigua, NY Shirley Horosko, born February 27, 1928, passed quietly at F.F. Thompson Hospital on March 9, 2010. Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Anthony on June18, 2008. She is survived by her seven children, 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered for her love of children and her passion to educate them. Shirley also enjoyed nurturing plants of all kinds. Her love for planting and tending flowers that brightened her life and those around her kept her young and active. Her ability and willingness to care for others above herself is the way she touched so many lives. Unselfish service to her family, friends and community will be her legacy. A memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, Shirley requested that donations be made to; The Anthony & Shirley Horosko Memorial Scholarship, via the Victor Scholarship Fund, 953 High St. Victor, NY 14564 or to any cancer research foundation.
