Carl Somma, 85, formerly of W. Gibson St. passed away February 14 at Geneva General Hospital.
A lifelong resident of Canandaigua, Carl graduated from Canandaigua Academy and served with the US Army during World War II. Following his enlistment he was briefly employed at Gleason Works and then chose to open his own furniture repair and upholstery shop on North Pearl Street.
Carl is survived by a sister Edith Krystan; two nieces, Bonnie Lee and Kristine Doty; and four great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents C. John Somma and Eva Stell and a younger sister Eva Somma.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are handled by Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. Canandaigua.
