This message is for Jeff. I have never sent a message like this before and I feel bad for doing it this way. Although I was not able to be with you today, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere condolences and to let you know I am thinking of you and your family. I know how difficult it is to lose your father as I lost mine 16 years ago and I still think about him and miss him a lot. It is never easy to lose someone, especially a family member. We sometimes seem to lose our patience with our parents as we get older yet it is a humbling time when it happens because there is no one to lean on any more for that experience we so often came to rely on. You know you are on your own now to carry on the family traditions as we realize there are now others who look up to us in the same way.
My deepest sympathy to all and again, I am truly sorry I couldn't be there to share a memory with you!
