Obituary of Richard Murphy

Richard D. Murphy Canandaigua- Richard Daniel Murphy, 78, formerly of Alpine and Macedon, NY, passed away on November 3, 2014 at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua, NY. Richard was predeceased by his parents, John and Hilda; three brothers, James, Howard, John; and infant son, Donald. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley (Garlock) Murphy; children, Kevin Murphy of Watkins Glen, NY, Kenneth (Sheila) Murphy of Gaffney, S.C. and Kimberly Piccarreto of Webster, NY; grandchildren, Rick Murphy, Abigail (Murphy) Tormey, Jessie Murphy, Sara Murphy, Kenneth Murphy, Adam Murray, Jeffery Ayotte, Mathew Piccarreto and Dakota Herold; brother, Michael (Robin) Murphy; sisters, Mary (Murphy) Manning and Patricia (Ronald) Smith; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Richard was retired from the Heavy Construction Trades and as Superintendent of Public Works for the Village of Montour Falls. He loved to read and the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Friends may call Friday, November 7 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 1 p.m. memorial service will be held at Good Sheppard Lutheran Church, 320 S.
