Giuseppina Palermo CANANDAIGUA: Giuseppina Palermo, age 88, of Pleasant Street, died October 23, 2014 at F.F. Thompson Hospital. She is survived by her two sons, Francesco (Sheila) Palermo and Giovanni (Giovanna) Palermo both of Canandaigua; two daughters, Antoinette (Libertino) Infurna and Stephanie (Don) Boylan both of Canandaigua; eight grandchildren, Norman (Karen) Palermo of Farmington, Silvio Palermo and fiance Colleen of Victor, Santa (Matt) Abraham and Josie (Ryan) Park both of Geneva, and Regina (Dan) Swartout, Michael Palermo, and Nicholas and Maria Boylan all of Canandaigua; three great grandchildren, Alexandria Park, Jonathan Palermo, and Allison Swartout; one brother, Calogero Palermo of Sicily; one brother-in-law, Calogero Infurna of Sicily; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, Onofrio Palermo in 1990; one brother, one sister, and two sister-in-laws in Sicily; and brother-in-law Salvatore (Carmella) Palermo of Canandaigua. Mrs. Palermo was born in Realmonte, Sicily, Italy, the daughter of Giovanni and Stefana (Infurna) Palermo. She came to the United States in 1967 with husband Onofrio and four children. They raised their family in Canandaigua. She enjoyed crocheting, baking cookies, traveling with her family, and was adored by her entire neighborhood. She will be dearly missed by her beloved family and friends. Friends may call on Monday, October 27, from 4pm to 8pm at the Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua. Her funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 28 at 10am at St. Mary’s Church, 95 North Main Street, Canandaigua. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Mary’s Church or F.F. Thompson Foundation, 350 Parrish St., Canandaigua, NY 14424.
