Gordon E. Stahl
Canandaigua, N.Y.
Loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Gordon Stahl of Yerkes Road Canandaigua passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2009.
Gordon served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division during World War II and the Korean War. In the 517th Parachute Regimental Combat Team he landed at Normandy Beach. He is the past commander of Canandaigua American Legion Post 256, Ontario County Commander and has been in the Forty and Eight Voiture for many years. He was a true Legionnaire.
Gordon was also an avid classic car enthusiast.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife Jeanne, a daughter Debbie Kinne, Sons Mark Stahl, Jeffrey (Lisa) Stahl, grandchildren Taylor and Cearra Kinne, and Morgan Stahl. He is also survived by a sister Thelma Wise and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday October 20 from 4-8 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home Inc., 190 Buffalo Street Canandaigua. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday October 21, at 11 a.m. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
A contribution in Gordons name may be made to the American Legion / Honor Guard c/o Canandaigua American Legion Post 256, 454 N. Main St. Canandaigua.
