To Betty, I just found out about Paul, too late to come to the service. I loved taking lessons with Paul in the late 60s. He made me realize that I was a coloratura and not a 2nd alto. I had been singing that in high school, oblivious to the fact that the chorus needed someone who could read the part. Paul will be missed, and I wish you the best. Susan Gates, AU '70

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Paul Giles, my voice teacher and choral conductor during my years at Alfred University (1974-78). Mr Giles was a kind and gentle man who shared his love of music with all of his students. I remember Mrs Giles (she played the piano for parts of my senior recital) and both Verity and Stefan, who were high school students at the time, my condolences go out to you all. May his memory be a blessing.

I always knew Paul and family were visiting Bonnie at N.M. First Baptist Church by Paul's distinct voice. I always appreciated his confidence and tonal control. Even more importantly Paul was a man of God. It was evidenced by his character. His spiritual legacy continues by the influence he had with his wife, children and grand children. I pray that God blesses you richly and the the Spirit comforts during this time of loss.

Our heartfelt condolences to the Giles family. It is our prayer that God will bring much comfort to the family in the days ahead. Jehovah God has promised us a time when sickness and death will be no more. Revelation 21: 4 tells us: And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. May the family have comfort and peace during this time of great loss.
