Obituary of Russell Bell

Russell Gerald Bell 1943 – 2009 Syracuse NY Russell Bell was born in Canandaigua on Aug. 18, 1943 he expired at his home in Syracuse on Aug. 2, 2009 after a long illness. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran where his rating was as a communication specialist. After his enlistment was up; he worked for several telephone companies in Washington D.C.; Miami, Florida; and Anchorage Alaska. He spent 26 years in Alaska and loved the beauty and the majesty of the state. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Alice (Dewey) Bell. His oldest brother Stuart Bell of Pierz, Minn. He is survived by his wife of nine years Barbara (Crossman) His brothers David (Bernice) Bell; Judson (Kathy) Bell both of Canandaigua; brother Vernon Bell of Columbus, Ga.; Sister Muriel Paterson of Baldwinsville, NY. And Sister in law Carol (wife of Stuart) of Pierz, Minn. Daughters; Tiffany (Keith Dunn) of Anchorage Alaska; Tamara (Paul Shager) Bell of Littleton Colorado. In addition he leaves three stepsons; numerous family members aunts, uncles, and cousins and lots of friends wherever he went. A celebration of his life will be held at the Canandaigua Moose Club.
