To Henry, Lynn and family, I am so sorry we didn't know she had passed. Elsie was an amazing lady and an inspiration to all of us at cardiac rehab We loved her too. She never gave up and was so persistent and resilient. She was a lovely , special lady! So sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all Kathy Roeland= Cardiac Rehab

My friendship with Elsie began in 1961 when we were neighbors. I did not know it then but I had adopted Elsie and Hank as my family from that time on. I remember cutting off her ponytail and giving her a Metropolitan hair style. We were in and out of each others apartments on a daily basis. Elsie was a true friend to me, always there for me. She was a safe place for me to run to. I always felt welcomed at her home. She made me and my children feel like we were part of her family. Throughout the years, we have kept in touch, sharing and updating each other about our families. I will miss her friendship greatly but I know that she is now in the Fathers' presence. We prayed together and she gave her life to Jesus and that gives me peace.

To the Brunjes family, I am so sorry for your loss.. Elsie was a beautiful woman who always treated me as member of the family.. My fondest memory was my trip to NY. I had an amazing time with Henry and Elsie!! She will be truly missed. My heart is saddened. Rest in Peace my beautiful friend.

I did not know Elsie very well but occasionally over the last fifteen years or so. Elsie was like the mother every one dreams of having. She was soft, sweet caring and a lovely person. I will miss her forever. May god take her into his loving arms and let her rest In Heaven waiting for us to join her.

It's very hard to write this. Elsie was my friend for more than fifty years. She was the sweetest dearest friend. I miss her terribly. But let me relate to you the vacations better known as our trips. Each one had one disaster after another. But we would always laugh it off and go back and do it again. I consider Elsie more than a friend, she was more like a sister.
