Darla,
I found myself thinking of Rich and you today. He was such a kind man, and you were the light of his life. Caring for him was an honor as he was always kind and often had a story or laugh to share. Learning to live on is not easy, but I know you have the strength to carry on and find joy in life as he would have wanted. I will continue to keep you and Rich in my prayers.

I became acquainted with Rich four years ago. As we would meet periodically, I began to hear his heart open and tell me what he thought about life, what was important to him, his strong love for his wife Darla, and what gave him meaning in life. I always enjoyed meeting Rich. He contributed to my day each time and he contributed to my life by enriching me. Thanks, Rich, my friend, for being in my life.
