Obituary of Henry Waneck

Henry M. Waneck Canandaigua- Henry Waneck, 86, passed away August 12, 2013. Born in North Bergen, NJ, Henry graduated from St. Michael's High School in North Bergen. He enlisted and served in the Army of Occupation in Germany at the close of WWII and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal. Henry worked for North American Coal Corporation for the majority of his career, retiring from R & P Coal in Indiana, PA. He volunteered for the United Way of Indiana for many years. Henry was happiest on a golf course, a fishing boat, or a beach and was a devoted father and husband, who worked hard all his life for his family. He was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte, and son, Michael Thomas Waneck. Henry is survived by his children, Kate (Denny) Flood, Syracuse, NY, Kristin Waneck, Canandaigua, NY, Marianne Miles, Canandaigua, NY, Matthew Waneck (Nancy Durborow), Harrisburg, PA, Therese Waneck, Canandaigua, NY; grandsons: Matthew, Thomas (Lauren), and Michael, Syracuse, NY; and a granddaughter, Natasha Wisler, Port Charlotte, FL. A 10 am funeral service will be held Friday August 16, at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
