To the Muxworthy family, my sincere sympathy. How beautiful a tribute this is to a member of your family, which also reflects you. Gary will be missed, but obviously his memory will live on in the hearts of many and for years to come.
I worked part-time at the Ski Loft for a short time when we had a young family to put on skis, my husband (John) and I visited Steamboat Springs one winter, and we also bought a hot tub from Gary. We still enjoy it today in our retirement in NC.
The years have gone by and, when I think about it now, each decade was graced with a bit of the Muxworthy humor, generosity and sweetness. I appreciate that.
I wish you well as you move forward in these next months.
Sincerely, Claire Courtney Vaeth

Pam, Glenn, Doug and Karin: Do not know if you remember me, I worked for Mux at the Ski Loft in the early 1990's when he was selling ski stuff by winter and lawn furniture by summer. WOW - he was wonderful to many folks. He always did for others and he loved his family. Please accept my condolences during this time. My father, Fran Hirsch, always spoke highly of Mux - he will be missed.

My most sincere sympathies to Pam and family. I've enjoyed Gary's company over the years, especially on the golf course where he kept all of us in hysterics all the time. I have always found him to be generous, sincere and loyal to his family and friends. We should all be happy for him that he was able to lead such an interesting, fun filled and diverse life. He was blessed and we are all also blessed to have had him in our lives. He will be very sadly missed. Thanks for the memories Mux.

I grew up with Gary but did not know him that well. I knew his Dad Ross better. My Uncle owned Krieter's Drug Store on Titus and I use to go to Gary fatherss hardware store a lot. I remember switching the nails from one ben to another. That was a real hardware store that you can not find any more. The town has changes a lot from those days as have we all. I know that Gary's dad use to come into the drug store with Gary also. I loss tract of Gary as I went into the service in 1960 for 24 years and was not back in Irondequoit that much. I had stopped in at Bristol Harbor for dinner a couple of times and knew that Gary was livingin that complex. He was a one of a kind individual and will be missed. My condolances to the family. I am sorry I won't be able to make the reception as I have a conflect but will be there in spirit.

36 years ago Gary gave me my first part-time job at the Titus Avenue Store. I was 16 years old. I loved going to work and I loved the people I worked with. Garys enthusiasm, kindness, quick wit and upbeat professionalism were contagious. It was important for him that we had a healthy and happy working environment, while helping people out at the same time and we did. Often I reflect back to those early working days: the lessons I learned in professionalism, optimism, and a passion for getting things right I carry with me to this day. It was, after all, my first job and I am so glad that it was! Gary set a wonderful example. My love of ski, is in part, thanks to Gary and those fond memories of working at Muxworthys Ski Loft. I can imagine how sadly he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His lasting impressions remain. My heartfelt condolences go out to Pam and the Muxworthy family. Renee Jimenez
