Obituary of Marian Blowers

Marian Sontheim Blowers Canandaigua- Marian Sontheim Blowers, age 91, of Macedon, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 17, at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua. Friends may greet the family from 10 to 11 a.m. with the service following at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Grace House, Saving Grace Ministries of Rochester, Inc., P.O. Box 15383, Rochester, NY 14615. Mrs. Blowers was born on July 15, 1921, in Lyons and was the daughter of Max and Frances Sontheim. After obtaining her education degree at Buffalo State Teachers College, she taught in the Rushford, N.Y. and Canandaigua school systems. She married Robert Blowers, a well-known dairy farmer, in 1942. He preceded her in death in 1987. She was a former longtime resident of Canandaigua. Mrs. Blowers was a loving, giving and sacrificial mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her seven children, Ronald (Joyce), Donald (Janice), Donna (Tim) Stoltzfus, Richard, Nancy (Len) Tomkinson, Alan (Betsy) and Terry (Mary); 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
