I have had the pleasure of working with David at Ariba for many years. David was a consummate professional taking on the most challenging projects. He had in depth knowledge of Ariba solutions and was a high performing member of the Ariba community. "DB2" will forever be a member of the Ariba family. David will be sorely missed.

I had a pleasure working with David on two big engagements and many more on smaller engagements over this 6 years. He is always funny, dedicated, hardworking and honest. In our family he is know as 'Driving DB2' for all the places he drives instead of flying. We certainly miss him. RIP.

When I first joined the Downstream Team DB II was the first consultant I had the pleasure to work with. We worked very closely over the past two years as he was on two challenging projects with me. I very much looked up to Dave as a mentor and friend. He was very giving and helped me grow professionally through his experience and tutelage. He will be missed by all and was taken from us much too soon. We have lost a great friend and my deepest sympathies go out to his family as they morn their loss.

In this line of work there are many people you "work with" that you never hear, see, or meet. I never worked directly with DB2 but he was always one of the people I heard about - well respected, very knowledgeable, and highly thought of. Thankfully I got the opportunity to meet him on a few occasions to verify that all of the kind words were indeed true. It is sad that we could not all be there to pay our respects; RIP Dave.

Dave was a very dear person to my heart. He was my manager for a couple years and I also had the privilege of working with him on few projects. I remember he was the first person I called when I lost my mother and on so many other occasions he was always there for me when I needed any help or advice. I will miss you so much Dave. RIP

I have worked with DB2 in many projects over these years, last being a year ago when he came to Montreal. He always had stories about his encounters with Canadian immigration. Last time around my client wanted to provide a supporting letter to travel and he had addressed it to "DB Tow" we had a good laugh about that. Every client loved his knowledge and experience. You will be missed my friend.

David was one of my managers. I remember David as being a very intelligent and sociable person. He was also understanding and calm in the face of stress. There were a few times when I thought I had made some terrible mistakes at work. We talked though it and he kept me grounded. He was patient with me and supported my career. I will miss his guidance, support and humor.

As I shared at Dave's memorial service, Dave (or DB2 as he was known to his co-workers) was always thinking of customers and co-workers before himself. So it is no suprise that he was respected and very well liked by everyone that he worked with. Projects were just more fun when Dave was on the project team. All of Dave's customers and co-workers are going to miss him.

David L. and family, So incredibly sorry to hear of "two sticks" passing. We were always laughing about something and I enjoyed his "tell it like it is" personality (just like his dad). We are losing so many young people to cancer. I encourage donations for research whenever possible. Such a huge loss for his family and friends. With love, Diane
