Obituary of William Purves
William H. Purves
Canandaigua- William Purves, 88, of Deseyn Drive, passed away January 31, 2012 at his home.
A U.S. Army Veteran, Bill served during WWII with the 84th division and fought at the Battle of the Bulge.
He owned and operated Purves Plumbing in Rochester.
Bill retired to Cape Coral Fl. in 1976, enjoying 7 years in the sun before returning to Canandaigua in 1984.
Bill loved the Lord and spent his life sharing the Word with people.
He was a member of the Zion Fellowship in Canandaigua and a Volunteer Chaplin at Thompson Hospital.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 44 years; Joyce Purves, children; Christine (Fred) Snyder, Gary (Maureen) Casale, Joyce Anne Casale, Paul Casale, nine grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son; Miciah (Bill) Purves.
The family invites friends to call Friday February 3 from 4-7 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. An 11am funeral service will be held Saturday February 4, at the Zion Fellowship 5188 Bristol Rd. Canandaigua. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
