Canandaigua, N.Y.
Marjorie Yerkes, of New Michigan Rd., passed away May 23, 2011 at Hospeace House in Naples.
A lifelong Canandaigua resident, Marjorie was the wife of the late Francis Yerkes.
She was employed by Kelloggs Restaurant for more than 40 years.
Marjorie was a life member of the Canandaigua Grange, a 4H leader for more than 25 years, a member of the Centerfield Homemakers, several quilting clubs, and was an avid gardener. She also taught Sunday school at the Canandaigua United Methodist Church.
Marjorie is survived by her children; Beverly (Lavern) Washburn, Sandra (Everett) Simonds, Dorothy (Carl) Blood, Linda Sheets, Joan Servidone, Ron Yerkes, Judy Jones and a sister; Mary Ann Ross, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday, May 25 from 4-7 pm at Fuller Funeral Home Inc., 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 10 am funeral service will be held Thursday, May 26, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
A contribution may be made in Marjories name to the Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd. Geneva, NY 14456 or a charity of the donors choosing.
